Jesus didn’t just heal the sick and comfort the brokenhearted—He also took time to ensure that people had enough to eat. In fact, one of the most powerful miracles recorded in the Bible is the feeding of the five thousand, where Jesus multiplied a few loaves and fish to provide an abundance of food for a multitude. This Easter season, we’re expecting “a multitude” of our own—hurting men, women, and families who will come to the Mission.
We strive every day to help our homeless neighbors get back on their feet, whether it be in base camp or one of our residency programs. This year, we are doubling down on this effort with the grand opening of our new building this fall. The building will serve as our base of operations and housing for our guests and residents alike.
“I really appreciated the delicious holiday
dinners provided by staff at The Lighthouse Mission,”
she said. “The day was so heartwarming. I appreciate
that I did not have to spend the holidays alone.”
